What it involves

A handheld device is run over an area of muscular tension for a few minutes at a time, delivering fast vibration into the tissue. Most people describe it as strong but comfortable.

Where it sits in the visit depends on what Dana is doing. She often uses it at the start, to loosen tight muscle before needling into it, and sometimes at the end.

Where Dana uses it

Most often the upper back, shoulders and lower back, alongside acupuncture in the same appointment rather than as the main event.

Being straight about it

This one is comfort and muscular tension. It is not the part of the visit doing the heavy lifting on a chronic pain case or a nerve case, and Dana will not present it as though it were. If your fifteen minutes would be better spent on something else, she will say so.

What happens next

Added to a visit, not booked on its own.

Mention it when you book, or tell Dana at the appointment. She will say whether it is worth adding for what you are being treated for.
