Revitalize Your Health with the Power of Electroacupuncture Medicine (EAM)

The Zen Point offers electroacupuncture medicine services in Bethesda, Maryland

What is Electroacupuncture Medicine?

Electroacupuncture integrates traditional needling techniques with controlled electrical stimulation to directly engage the body’s neuromuscular and neurovascular systems. Research suggests that this approach can modulate central and peripheral nerve activity, enhance blood flow, and promote the release of endogenous opioids and other biochemical mediators involved in pain control and tissue repair.

By targeting specific points and pathways, electroacupuncture allows for a more precise and sustained therapeutic signal than manual acupuncture alone. Treatments are typically gentle and well-tolerated, often producing a noticeable shift toward relaxation and improved physiological balance.

Who Could Benefit from Electroacupuncture Medicine?

People use electroacupuncture medicine to address a range of symptoms and health issues, including, but not limited to those listed below. For more persistent or challenging conditions, electroacupuncture is often a good adjunct to post-regenerative procedures such PRP, along with physical therapy.
